Lou has been writing music most of his adult life. However, since the birth of his children, he has focused on writing children´s music.

He was born and raised in Flushing, NY, practically in the shadow of Shea Stadium and the World´s Fair. He has a very eclectic background that includes religion, law, community theater and the ice cream business. He currently teaches religion at a Catholic high school in Queens. He is also a high average bowler who has recently bowled a 300 game. He and his wife have two sets of twins 20 months apart in age, so they are very busy at home. And this hectic life is great inspiration for his music.
